Some dealers of Aprilia in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are accepting deposits from customers for an early priority delivery slot of Tuareg 660 model. This is the first Adventure motorcycle of this Italian company in Vietnam.

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is built on a steel tube frame, with aluminum subframe. The design of this off-road motorcycle is quite simple, emphasizing neatness and practicality. The front of the car is equipped with LED headlights with daytime positioning, a height-adjustable windshield and a 5-inch TFT speedometer.

The suspension of the vehicle includes reverse travel type of Kabaya in front, and monoshock type in rear. Both forks are adjustable and has 240 mm of travel. The Tuareg accompanies with spokes, has front rim’s size of 21 inches with dual disc brakes and 18 inches rear with single disc brakes. The vehicle’s brakes integrate anti-lock technology (ABS).

For traveling road trips flexibly with movements such as sitting, standing, leaning forward or backward maneuvers depending on the terrain, the saddle of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is flat and elongated, 860 mm high. The fuel tank is higher than the saddle along with the steering wheel spread.

The Tuareg 660 has a wheelbase of 1,525 mm. The fuel tank has a capacity of 18 liters and a wet weight of 204 kg.

The engine on the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is similar to its “brother” models such as the Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660, is sort of 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, with a capacity of 80 horsepower at 9,250 rpm, maximum torque of 60 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The model has 6-speed gearbox.

The APRC driver assistance package on the Aprilia Tuareg 660 includes technologies such as traction control, engine braking, cruise control, 4 driving modes.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 when returning to Vietnam will compete directly with Yamaha Tenere 700 priced at 399 million VND. According to a representative of a Motoplex dealer, the vehicles’s origin of European imports can raise the price of Tuareg 660 to more than 450 million VND, which is more expensive than many Japanese competitors. The goal of reaching Vietnamese customers with Italian models is therefore more difficult.
