Aston Martin has identified the release date for the V12 version of Aston Martin Vantage to be next year’s March.
Recently, this model had been introduced to potential customers at separate events. With a production run of just 299 units, the new V12 Vantage will be a rare sight on the road.
Compared to the regular V8 engine version, the new V12 Vantage will look more aggressive thanks to the highlighting spoiler, vented hood and centrally located dual exhaust tips. According to the source, the new model will also have an all-carbon fiber body, so it will also be significantly lighter. This is a key factor that helps offset the additional weight of the V12.
Power will be taken from the same 5.2L V12 engine as the Aston Martin V12 Speedster, for a maximum capacity of 700 horsepower and 752Nm of torque. However, the V12 Vantage is expected to drop to 670 horsepower. This will be a significant upgrade over the previous V12 Vantage S, which produced 563 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine.
In the teaser, Aston Martin refers to the V12 Vantage as “The Final Edition”, implying that it will be the automaker’s final V12 version before going full-electric.
