The 1000-cc naked bike gets its design refinement, additional utilities, and slightly higher price. Sales start January 16, 2022.

Honda recently introduced 3 new large displacement models, including CB1000R, CB650R, and CBR650R. In which, the 1,000cc model belongs to the new generation, while their 650-cc pair only gets updates in paint job. The price of the new generation CB1000R increases from 468 million to 509 million, while the prices of two models CB650R and CBR650R remained unchanged, respectively at 246 million and 254 million VND.

The new generation CB1000R inherits the Neo Sport Cafe-style design but has been refined with a new, fiercer appearance. This generates a feeling of rushing forward for the bike. The model employs a new pair of patterned aluminum 7-spoke wheels, new teardrop-shaped LED headlights. The LED taillight cluster adds an ESS emergency stop signal light.

Honda has tweaked the design of the radiator grille and the air filter cover to be more compact and synchronize better with the car’s design. The license plate mount is shrunk. In addition, the new CB1000R comes with a USB port underneath the seat to increase convenience. The bike is fitted with 5-inch TFT color screen with 4 display options.

The chassis of CB1000R 2021 is in the form of a single tubular steel frame, a typical 574.2 mm-long single swingarm. Front fork tilt angle stands at 25 degrees, 830 mm in seat height. Weight distribution ratio is 48.5% and 51.5% for a comfortable and natural riding posture. The car has an adjustable Showa SFF-BP front fork and a single rear fork that can also adjust spring preload and damping level.

CB1000R 2021 is equipped with a 1000cc 4-cylinder DOHC in-line engine, liquid-cooled, with electronic fuel injection. The powertrain produces 143 horsepower at 10,500 rpm, and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 8,250 rpm. In the new generation, the model adjusts the amount of torque to skyrocket between 6,000 – 8,000 rpm, with a short gear ratio for outstanding acceleration and exciting riding experience.

Assistive technologies include two-way anti-slip clutch, and an electronic throttle with three separate running modes plus one optional. The bike has three levels of customization for engine power (P), engine braking force (EB) and traction control system that can be switched on / off. Three operational modes of Rain, Standard, Sport, and a custom allow the user to choose between 3 presets and save a customization for later use.

The pair of CB650R and CBR650R add new colors. The nakedbike model adds a new gray color next to the current 3 (red, black, blue). Meanwhile, the sportbike model refines its stickers to be sportier. Both are equipped with 650cc in-line 4-cylinder engine, liquid-cooled, electronic fuel injection, producing 93 horsepower at 12,000 rpm. Maximum torque stands at 63 Nm.

All three new motorcycles meet Euro 5 emission standards. As planned, the Honda CB1000R 2021 is available starting January 16, 2022, while the new CB650R and CBR650R will be sold from December 26, 2021.
