The newly released Honda Africa Twin 1100L 2022 motorcycle duo have been upgraded with various valuable equipment.

Recently, Honda has revealed the first images of the world-famous motorcycle duo Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports with new stamp colors and modern equipment.

Both models retain the same 1,084cc in-line, liquid-cooled, 2-cylinder engine first seen in 2020, for a capacity of 101 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 105Nm in torque at 6,250 rpm.

However, the DCT (dual-clutch transmission) on these two models has been adjusted the first two gears to improve braking and low-speed operation.

As for the electronics, the Honda Africa Twin 1100L 2022 motorcycle duo is still equipped with the electronic throttle with 4 standard operation modes and 2 optional modes. In addition, there are traction control, anti-load control, automatic throttle hold, ABS-assisted IMU gauge, and suitable gearshift for the DCT transmission.

Enhancing convenience are cruise control, a modern 6.5-inch TFT color screen, capable of connecting to smartphones via Bluetooth.

For the standard Africa Twin 2022 version, a black storage compartment is available to install the rear box instead of having to make additional purchases like before.

Showa’s suspension system has not changed, retaining the USD 45mm front fork with 230mm travel, and 220mm monoshock rear fork. Both are fully customizable.

Particularly, the Adventure Sports version is equipped with Showa EERA electronic cruise control system.

Africa Twin’s paint color and stamp set have also been changed in all versions with a larger and more prominent logo. The Adventure Sports model will have the option of black or white-red-blue colors with gold accents such as the front fork or engine cover. A new set of “Cracked Terrain” design stamps and the words “Adventure Sport” on the tailgate are also available.

The standard version has a large “Africa Twin” logo design on the sides of the fuel tank cover and the number “1100” on the tail, which has 3 optional colors including white, red and black.

Currently, the official selling price of this duo has not been revealed.
