The scarcity of supply and the heat of Ford Bronco on the market causes many customers to willing to spend heavily to make purchases instead of waiting.
With Ford’s insufficient supply, many customers decide to pay more than expected to be able to immediately own a hot Ford Bronco SUV at auctions instead of waiting for a new car at dealers.
Last weekend, a Ford Bronco First Edition was sold to the highest bidder at Mecum’s Dallas Auction. Accordingly, this special-edition Bronco is pegged at $126,500 (VND 2.87 billion), over twice the listed price of $59,305 (VND 1.34 billion).
The Ford Bronco that was just sold was a second-hand unit with an ODO of 185 miles (nearly 300 km), and a Cyber Orange exterior. Color options are only available on Base and Big Bend versions and above. This uniqueness also contributes to rocketing price of the car.
However, what makes Bronco inscreasing in value is its scarcity on the market. After a problem with the hardtop version, Ford decided to replace the tops on all affected units in August.
While owners of the cars are happy to be handled by the American automaker, customers who have deposited for one will have to continue to wait until Ford ensures the production volume before delivery. Furthermore, Ford has temporarily stopped accepting online orders for the Bronco model to avoid the accumulation of orders.
