Mercedes-Benz EQS 2023 will be officially launched in Vietnam within the framework of Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) taking place at the end of October.

Recently, sales consultants have started accepting deposits for Mercedes-Benz EQS 2023. Accordingly, this luxury electric car will have 2 versions, EQS 450 and EQS 580, with the expected price of 5.5 billion and 6.5 billion VND, respectively. It is known that Mercedes-Benz EQS is scheduled to launch to users within the framework of Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) taking place from October 26, but it will not be until the second quarter of next year can the car be delivered to customers.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS was first launched internationally in April 2021. Dubbed “electric S-Class”, but EQS is developed on the basis of a completely new platform, exclusively made for the new electric product line of the German automaker. The design is towards futuristic style, featuring a fake grille at the front called the Black Pannel. On both sides, there are Digital Light headlights connected by a middle light strip, hidden door handles, and 19-inch wheels.

It is not clear what equipment will be on the 2 versions sold in Vietnam. In the international market, the car has 3 exterior accessory packages including: Standard, AMG Line, and Electric Art. In particular, the AMG version will have sports front/rear bumpers and 19-inch or 20-inch dual-spoke AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels. Meanwhile, Electric Art version will have gray metal exterior details with 20-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the car feels completely different from the existing Mercedes-Benz internal combustion engine product lines. The interior space is filled with high-tech emotions with the appearance of a Hyperscreen screen that stretches across the dashboard with a width of up to 141 cm, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel behind the steering wheel, The central entertainment screen is a 17.7-inch OLED with a new MBUX infotainment system (8-core CPU and 24 GB of RAM) and the rightmost is a 12.3-inch OLED screen. icnh.

The second-row armrest also has a removable screen to use the tablet to adjust features such as temperature, massage, volume, … like the current S-Class line.

In terms of performance, according to previous information posted on the website of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, the EQS will have a total capacity of up to 516 horsepower, a range of up to 770 km when using the most advanced 108 kWh battery option. However, it is still unclear how the German automaker will solve the charging station problem for this model. Perhaps similar to Porsche, setting up a charging station at the dealership and at the same time, having the option to install a charging plant at home for customers in need.
