Not only VinFast Fadil, the sales of Lux models in April also decreased. In return, the delivery progress of the VF e34 was still relatively stable.
According to the April sales results announced by VinFast, the Vietnamese car company sold a total of 2,427 cars, downed by 30% compared to March. In which, VinFast Fadil was still its best-selling product with 1,654 vehicles delivered to customers. With this result, Fadil failed to become the best-seller in the Vietnamese market in April, and it is worth mentioning that in the last 10 days of the month, this A-class hatchback received a promotion from the manufacturer at a 40 million VND discount for all 3 versions.
Car model | March 2022 sales (units) | April 2022 sales (units) | Accumulation 2022 (units) |
Fadil | 2,567 | 1,654 | 6,319 |
Lux A2.0 | 309 | 287 | 965 |
Lux SA2.0 | 183 | 80 | 960 |
VF e34 | 412 | 406 | 911 |
Total | 3,471 | 2,427 | 9,155 |
Regarding VinFast Lux, in April, the sales of the Lux A2.0 sedan only decreased slightly, but the sales of the Lux SA2.0 SUV dropped sharply with only 80 units sold. Finally, the progress of handing over units to customers of the VinFast VF e34 electric car is still relatively stable. Currently, the Vietnamese car company is still trying to solve problems with the supply of components to speed up production so as not to let users wait for too long to make purchases. In the first 4 months of the new year, only 911 units of VinFast VF e34 have been delivered to users, far lower than the number of orders that the Vietnamese car company announced previously.
In addition to the four models currently on the market, VinFast is expected to start handing over two large electric car models VF8 and VF9 on a global scale in the second half of 2022. In Vietnam, D-size electric SUV VinFast VF8 is distributed with 2 versions of Eco and Plus with the suggested retail prices of VND 1.057 billion and VND 1.237 billion, respectively. Similarly, VF9 also has Eco and Plus versions with the selling price of 1.443 billion and 1.572 billion VND.
Both models are distributed with the same battery rental form as the VF e34. Accordingly, users have 2 options including fixed and flexible packages. The flexible package may be more suited for customers who do not travel much, limited to 500 km per month. Crossing this milestone, customers are required to pay more. As for the fixed package, when paying 2,189,000 VND/month for VinFast VF8 and 3,091,000 VND/month for VF9, users can run comfortably without limiting the number of kilometers used.
