It is expected that Ducati Monster 2022 will be imported to Vietnam for genuine sale next year for about 350-380 million VND.
After launching in Europe last year, the latest generation of Monster naked bike introduced itself in Thailand, where Ducati’s factory is located for many Asian markets. Accordingly, Ducati Monster 2022 in Thailand has a listed price of 449,000 Baht, equivalent to about 302 million VND.
Ducati Monster 2022 has completely changed in design and equipment. The bike no longer uses the familiar trellis-shaped steel tube frame, but inherits the ultra-light aluminum frame of the Panigale supersport model. This reduces up to 4.5 kg in vehicle weight.
On the other hand, the rear subframe has also been improved with the use of glass fiber reinforced polymer to help reduce 1.9 kg. The new wheels are 1.7 kg lighter, while the rear swingarm takes another 1.6 kg from the model. All these upgrades help the Ducati Monster 2022 to be 18 kg lighter than the old generation Monster 821, weighing only 188 kg.
In addition to the super-light structure, the Ducati Monster 2022 naked bike also wears a new, more eye-catching appearance. The headlights have an oval design with integrated positioning lights running along the edge of the lamp face. Front turn signals are neat with a new design as it is integrated onto the sides of the bike. Brake lights and the rear have also been redesigned to match the new bike’s appearance.
The bike’s fuel tank is more compact compared to the old generation, with more ribs and bevels, giving the bike a familiar muscular look but does not overwhelm the overall bike. Ducati Monster 2022’s saddle has been rearranged by the Italian motorbike company. The steering handles go back by 70 mm to provide a more comfortable position for the user.
Suspension system includes 43 mm upside-down front forks and a single rear shock absorber. The bike comes with standard 17-inch cast wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. The brake system includes a 320 mm double disc in the front and a single 245 mm disc at the rear with high-class Brembo brake calipers.
In terms of powertrain, the Ducati Monster 2022 offers a 937cc L-Twin engine block, similar to the Multistrada 950. However, when equipped on the Monster, this engine weighs 2.4 kg lighter and is about more powerful by 2 horsepower. Specifically, the total capacity can reach 111 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and maximum torque of 93.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Inside this engine is a slip leaf clutch system, which helps to minimize rear-wheel slip due to engine braking force when accelerating. In addition, the bike’s 6-speed gearbox will be smoother and easier to use thanks to the 2-way Quick Shifter system.

Currently, Ducati Vietnam is also distributing Ducati Monster naked bike to Vietnamese customers. Genuine Ducati products in Vietnam are mainly imported directly from Thailand. As the new generation Monster 2022 model is now available in Thailand, Ducati Vietnam is likely to also bring this model to the domestic market next year. An expected price stands in the range of VND 350-380 million VND.
