The GV70 will compete with rivals including the BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, and Audi Q5 with its potential to become the best-selling car of the Korean luxury brand in the near future. The crossover model is expected to arrive in the US in 2021.

GV70’s style exudes dynamism and elegance with the signature language of Genesis. Its headlights and taillights are similar to the G80 and GV80. The sedan version of the GV70 is the G70 sedan, which will also apply this design to later upgrades in 2022. GV70 shares the same structure with the G70, which means rear-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive options.

In the cabin, the oval theme dominates, from the controls to the door handles. A large infotainment screen stands on top of the dashboard, swivel knobs in the center console between the two front seats. Two-spoke steering wheel on the standard version and 3-spoke steering wheel in the Sport version. The vehicle consists of two rows of 5 seats, while the GV80 has the option of a third row.

The first photos show the standard GV70 in brown while the Sport version is red with 21-inch rims. Currently Genesis has not announced the specifications of their crossover. The standard GV70 can have a 2.5L 4-cylinder turbocharger that produces around 300 HP. The Sport version is more powerful with a 3.5L V6, twin turbocharger, giving 375 HP.

More specific information about the GV70 will be introduced soon. Like other Genesis models, the luxury crossover is expected to be competitively priced compared to its German rivals, which means it may cost under $ 40,000.
