Honda Future is one of Honda’s clutch models that is popular among Vietnamese users due to its durability and fuel economy. The listed price currently stands at 30.33 to 32 million VND depending on the version, but the actual price of at dealers is much higher.

According to a survey at several HEADs in the southern region, the Future 125 is priced at 42 million VND, equivalent to the listed price of the Honda Air Blade 125 scooter model which is considered high-end.

According to the current tax schedule, the cost of registration for a Honda Future is about 3.5 million VND, plus the price of the highest version of said model is only 35.65 million VND. Thus, compared to the listed price, Honda Future 125 is priced at a whopping difference of 6 million VND. This is even higher than its trendy scooter models like Vision or Lead. Facing the situation of high motorbike prices, some customers who want to buy a new Honda Future 125 have turned to buying used bikes or choosing other models with more reasonable prices.

A few days ago, Honda Vietnam also adjusted the price of a series of its motorcycle models, causing the listed prices of some models to increase quite significantly. However, Honda models so far has rarely been sold at the listed price and is often sold for a few million more. Some that are of great interest to many also have their price tag raised by up to 20 million VND.

Contrary to the price of Honda motorcycles, Yamaha models at dealers are always stable. The situation of price manipulation occurs very little. Some scooter models are even sold by dealers for less than the suggested price from 500,000 to 2 million VND. Similarly, prices of Suzuki motorcycles are also very stable. There are no changes compared to the proposed price of the company. Some models are also sold for less than the suggested retail price.

According to VAMM’s statistics, more than 750,000 motorbikes were sold to the Vietnamese market in the first quarter of 2022, achieving a growth rate of 7.43% over the same period last year. The positive signal made many experts believe that the motorcycle market had begun to recover after the impact of the pandemic last year.
