On June 15, 2022, Honda officially launched a new version of the HR-V series in Vietnam with an almost complete makeover from the inside out, especially the upgrades to the engine, operation, as well as active safety system.

Specifically, Honda HR-V 2022 will switch from the old 1.8L air-cooled engine to the 1.5L turbocharger similar to others like Civic, CR-V… Hence, this B-class SUV has a maximum capacity of 174 horsepower and a maximum torque of 240 Nm. It comes with the familiar CVT automatic transmission and 3 driving modes ECON, Normal, and Sport to bring a diverse experience to customers.

In addition to a major engine change, HR-V 2022 is also equipped with Honda SENSING active safety technology on all versions sold in Vietnam. This shows Honda’s safety uniformity for their models. The Honda SENSING system on the Honda HR-V 2022 will have 6 technologies, including CMBS, LKAS, RDM lane-departure mitigation, AHB, and Active program ACC integrated with LSF and LCDN.

In terms of exterior, the new model dons almost a makeover when it comes to a new design that resembles a hybrid SUV with a coupe. The front end is stretched forward while the rear is swept down slightly, bringing a sportier and more personal exterior to this B-class SUV. In addition, the large grille with the “starry sky” design is also a new highlight of the Honda HR-V 2022 when viewed from the front of the car.

Some highlighting exterior equipment of the Honda HR-V 2022 can be mentioned as 18-inch alloy wheels, an auxiliary Lane Watch camera, and rearview mirror placed on the door to help expand visibility.

Inside, Honda HR-V also has many changes with the horizontal minimalist design, making the interior space more elegant and sophisticated.
