Honda sales continue to decline in February 2023

In February, both Honda’s motorcycle and automobile businesses in Vietnam market decreased compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

On 10th of March, Honda Vietnam (HVN) announced retail sales of motorcycle & automobile business in February 2023.

For the motorcycle business, there were 140,669 vehicles sold in Vietnam market, decreased by 36.8% compared to the previous month and down 4.0% compared to the same period last year.

In particular, sales of Honda Wave Alpha decreased by 42.6% compared to the previous month (Tet month) and increased by 5.3% over the same period last year. In the Vision scooter line, sales decreased by 34.9% compared to the previous month and increased by 7.1% compared to the same period last year. Particularly for the Winner X sport line, sales decreased by 27.0% compared to the previous month and decreased by 43.5% over the same period last year.

For the automobile business, in February 2 Honda sold 1,385 units, down 7.3% over the previous month, down 24.3% over the same period last year.

In particular, Honda City and Honda CR-V continue to be the two best-selling models of Honda Vietnam with 1,235 units sold, accounting for 89.2% of HVN’s total car sales volume in February 02.
