Although the general trends are decreasing price and bleak sales, most motorbikes are still priced above the suggested price.

August 2022 coincides with the 7th lunar month – which many believe to be a month of bad luck. Usually, consumers will limit making purchases during this time. This explains why prices of many models are rather low at the moment.

SH350i plummeted below the suggested price

As the most advanced scooter model produced and genuinely distributed in Vietnam, the SH350i has been sold at a higher price since 2021. Just 2 months ago, i.e in June 2022, the selling price of SH350i at HEADs was VND 165 million for the Premium version, while the listed price for it was VND 148.99 million.

However, on the morning of August 2022, some HEADs are implementing a huge discount program for this luxury scooter model, making the price of the SH350i unprecedentedly cheap. Specifically, the price of SH350i Premium version is at VND 145.49 million – i.e lower than the proposed price. Similarly, the selling price of the Special and Sports versions also decreased, at 149.49 and 156.49 million VND, respectively.

Thus, compared to 2 months ago, the current price of SH350i is reduced by 15-20 million VND depending on the version. This is also the cheapest price for this scooter model since it enjoys genuine distribution in Vietnam.

Vision discounted, but still expensive

The price of Vision has been a hot topic for the past few months when it has continuously stayed above 50 million VND – an unprecedented record price for a scooter model lined up as an affordable scooter. In August 2022, as noted, the selling price of Vision at Honda dealers has decreased but is still rather high. Specifically, Vision Standard at 40 million VND is still nearly 10 million VND higher than the listed price. Similarly, Vision Premium and Special are currently priced at 43.25 and 46 million VND, respectively.

Newly launched Yamaha Jupiter FINN inflated

Jupiter Finn is a new line of clutch model brought to the market by Yamaha with the highlight of today’s unique UBS design and braking system. Although it is listed at a price of 27.5 – 28 million VND, according to a survey at Yamaha dealers, the current selling price of this model in August 2022 is at 33.5 – 34 million VND.

Thus, compared to the listed price, the dealer price of Jupiter Finn is higher by 6 million VND. However, this is a fairly understandable move for a newly launched model on the market.
