Honda Winner X launched in Malaysia with a different design from the Vietnamese version

Honda Winner X in Malaysia has another name – Honda RS-X with a redesigned headcover and exhaust cover, different from the Winner X version sold in Vietnam.

Although it has been sold in Vietnam since August 2019, it is not until today that the long-awaited clutch model Honda Winner X has been launched in Malaysia with the name Honda RS-X – 8,688 Ringgit, equivalent to VND 47.6 million, excluding road fees, insurance, and registration. In the Malaysian market, there are not only color options, but some designs on Honda RS-X are also different from Winner X in Vietnam. Specifically, the Honda RS-X model in Malaysia will have 3 color options including Black Gold, Blue Black, and Red Blue White.

Talking about the difference from the Winner X model, the Honda RS-X model in Malaysia has a redesigned headcover and exhaust cover. Accordingly, it can be seen that the front cover of the Honda RS-X has a rather aggressive shape thanks to the bold cut-out lines. In addition, the mesh in the RS-X’s air cavity also has a honeycomb design instead of vertical spokes on Winner X.

Next, the exhaust cover of the Honda RS-X has a design with folding edge detail, with a ventilation hole instead of a smooth cover on the exhaust pipe of Honda Winner X in the Vietnamese market.

In addition to these two major differences, the Honda RS-X in Malaysia is also equipped with ABS brakes in all versions, bolder rear glass panels, and reflective cat eyes on both sides of the rear fender due to registration standards of this country.

The overall and equipped Honda RS-X in Malaysia is completely similar to the Winner X model. Thus, the bike is still equipped with a complete LED lighting system, technical clocks, gears, 17-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes at both front and rear.

The heart is still a single-cylinder engine block, 149.1cc capacity, liquid-cooled, producing 15.8 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and maximum torque of 13.6 Nm at 9,000 rpm. engine 6,500 rpm. A 6-speed manual gearbox and electronic fuel injection system are equipped with this engine.

Similar to Winner X competing with Yamaha Exciter 155 in Vietnam, the Honda RS-X model will also compete with rival Yamaha Y16ZR (the name of Exciter 155 in this market).
