Husqvarna Vitpillen 401 is a cafe racer motorcycle with a Trellis steel frame, horizontal handlebars, and a flat saddle that offers a sporty ride posture but is still flexible enough to move in the street. Meanwhile, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (and Svartpilen 200) has a scrambler style. Also with a steel Trellis frame, but the handlebars of the Svartpilen 401 are placed higher. The saddle curves downward to create a more comfortable riding position for both road and offroad purposes. Svartpilen 401 is equipped with 8-spoke cast rims, and also owns a full LCD circular clock with a full display of parameters.

Both Vitpillen 401 and Svartpilen 401 own a single-cylinder engine block of 373 horsepower, producing a maximum capacity of horsepower and maximum torque of 37Nm. Both are integrated with a 6-speed gearbox, with an Easy Shift sensor to help the driver shift gears lighter and smoother.
