On 26/01, Honda Vietnam officially started the training program “Traffic safety for children” in academic year 2020-2021. This is the first time the program approaches teachers and students of over 63 provinces/ cities in Vietnam.

“Traffic safety for a children’s smile” is the traffic safety training program for primary school students held by Honda Vietnam (HVN), Ministry of Education & Training and National Traffic Safety Committee (Traffic Safety) since 2008.

Entering the 13th year, with the aim of universalizing education so that “Traffic safety for the children” becomes the main subject in schools and reaches all primary school teachers and students across the country in the school year 2020-2021, the program is deployed to 100% primary schools in 63 provinces / cities for the first time. It is expected that about 8.4 million students from nearly 15,000 primary schools across the country will learn and practice “Traffic safety for children” lessons in this academic year.

The new document “Traffic Safety Training for primary students” was jointly compiled by the Ministry of Education and Training, National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company in the direction of developing competence and quality of learners. This will officially be applied from the academic year 2020-2021. At these sessions, the management staff of the education and training departments, the teachers had the opportunity to exchange and discuss experiences in renewing the teaching methods of traffic safety education for primary students, in order to improve the quality of traffic safety teaching and learning.

Besides the training programs and teaching implementation at the school, “Traffic safety for children” is also expected to be organized from February 2021 to April 2021 and the Final Round and Awards Ceremony scheduled to be held in May 2021. This activity aims to motivate teachers and students to continuously improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning about traffic safety and at the same time, summarize and evaluate the effectiveness of the program’s implementation.
