The supercar company had the best January-June sales since its establishment, with the Urus super SUV accounting for 60%.
Lamborghini’s report for the first 6 months of 2022 recorded a record level of sales and brought the highest profits in the auto industry. In the first half of the year, the company delivered a total of 5,090 vehicles, an increase of 4.9% over the same period in 2021.
The Urus is Lamborghini’s best-selling car, accounting for 60% of sales. That is, this super SUV model alone delivers about 3,000 cars to customers. The company did not specify the sales ratio of the other two products, the Huracan and Aventador.
The U.S is Lamborghini’s biggest market, with 1,521 sold units. Other important markets are China (576 vehicles), Germany (468), and the UK (440). Europe, the Middle East, and Africa account for a combined 41% of total sales. America accounted for 34%, and Asia – Pacific makes up 25%.
As sales increase, so does profit. The supercar company had a revenue of $1.354 billion, up by 30.6% over the same period in 2021. Profit reached $432 million, up by 69.6%.
The company’s president and chief executive officer, Stephan Winkelmann, expects the strong results to continue. The CEO said that the company has received enough orders for 2023.
In the U.S, the Lamborghini Urus super SUV has a starting price of 230,000 USD. The remaining two products, the Huracan and Aventador, are priced from $207,000 and $500,000, respectively.
