Neo’s is Yamaha’s respond to the trend of electric vehicle conversion. It is the first genuine electric motorcycle model sold by the brand in Vietnam. In March 2022, it announced that Vietnam is the first foreign market where Neo’s is assembled and produced for the European market and many other countries.

Yamaha Neo’s has a compact, youthful design, aimed at 18–25-year-olds customers who travels regularly in urban areas. Its dimensions of length, width, and height are 1,875 x 695 x 1,120 (mm). Ground clearance stands at 135 mm, seat height of 795 mm, and weight is 98 kg, battery included.

This model is equipped with a new generation Yipu2 engine attached to the rear fork, with brake and MCU control system, easily detachable for patching or changing tires. According to the company’s announcement, Neo’s has a travel range of 72 km every full charge. The distance can be doubled if an additional battery is installed. Each battery if fully charged can be used for up to 8 hours.

Other features of Neo’s include smartkey, charging ports, storage compartments, LCD speedometer, detachable batteries, and storage compartment. In addition, the electric motorcycle model can connect to smartphones via the Y-connect application. When operating, Neo’s has an auto-braking feature when releasing the throttle.

The representative of the Japanese company expects the electric motorcycle model to be a product that meets the green lifestyle, and smart traveling solution for users. “Neo’s is one of the strategic products in Yamaha’s global carbon neutrality plan to 2035,” the company said.

The vehicle is sold at a price of 50 million VND with 1 battery. Color options include black, white, and blue. Delivery time is expected to start this February.
