New design luxury MPV model, optional interior design of 4, 6, 7 seats, two types of hybrid engine, sold in over 60 countries.

Four years after the launch of the first generation, the Japanese luxury car brand unveiled the second-generation LM at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. Lexus shared that the new generation LM will be sold in 60 countries. In which, Japan is the first market for distribution. However, the luxury MPV still has no plans to come to the US.

The new generation Lexus LM changes the design, the refined chassis increases the rigidity by 50%, adds more technology, and aims at a luxurious experience for passengers. Improved Lexus engineers installed new braces on the radiator brackets and rear deck. The company equips the LM with a new adaptive suspension system (AVS) with higher sensitivity. The front seats are designed for better comfort, while the second row is equipped with two types of shock-absorbing materials to help reduce vibrations when standing still and moving.

LM 2024 is 5,125 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,955 mm high. Compared to the old generation, the new generation MPV increases in size, 85 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and 10 mm higher. Wheelbase remains the same at 3,000 mm.

The new generation LM interior offers a choice of three configurations, including 4, 6, and 7 seats. The most advanced 4-seat version with a partition between two rows of seats. There is also a 48-inch screen, additional refrigerator, special storage compartment, armrest and heated bench. In addition, the Japanese automaker also installed heating and cooling systems, automatically controlling the HVAC to ensure the passenger’s body temperature through sensors on the face, chest, thighs, and legs.

Lexus added a series of new standard safety features to the LM 2024 with the Lexus Safety System+, including forward collision warning and automatic brake assist, radar cruise control, lane departure warning, and distraction warning.

The Japanese luxury brand has not yet fully announced the specifications of the new generation LM. The vehicle is available with two hybrid configurations, including a turbocharged 2.4 hybrid and a 2.5 hybrid.

In Vietnam, Lexus LM is of genuine distribution. The car sells two versions, including 7 seats priced at 6.87 billion VND and 4 seats priced at 8.27 billion VND.

Auto Shanghai 2023 takes place from April 18-27.
