New Toyota Camry may be launched next year

27 Feb 2023

The new Toyota Camry is entering the final stage of development and may be fully launched by mid-2024.

According to the Drive from Australia, the next generation of Toyota Camry is gradually completing with an expected launch date. If nothing changes, will fall in the middle of 2024.

The life cycle of Toyota Camry, if launched in 2024, will extend to 7 years instead of 5 to 6 years like previous generations. This change is probably due to the current sedan has lost its leading position in the segment in the global market. The company now has other priorities such as the RAV4 SUV.

In addition, many competitors of Toyota Camry have now withdrawn or are almost no longer able to threaten sales of this product line, which also allows the Japanese brand to be more laxed in launching a new generation to improve its competitiveness.

Similar to RAV4, Toyota Camry currently has a long delivery queue (especially the hybrid version) in some markets. Customers who ordered a unit may be handed over the new generation at the aforementioned timeline at waiting times from 18-24 months.

There is not much official information about the new Toyota Camry, but 99% of the car will still use the existing technology platform. An improved version of the existing TNGA-K chassis would probably come with a more modern, stylish exterior.

The interior of the Toyota Camry 2024 promises to also witness a significant change with a larger central entertainment screen, a more modern infotainment system, and more advanced connectivity protocols.

In terms of powertrain, the hybrid version of the Toyota Camry will probably increase production in the context of the company boosting sales of its eco-friendly lineup. The price of the new Toyota Camry is not expected to be much different from the current starting price of $ 22,200.
