25 Aug 2021

Venucia V-Online is a C-size SUV aimed at young customers and competes with Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson.

On August 20, 2021, Venucia – a sub-brand established in 2010 of the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture – launched a new SUV model called Grande V in the Chinese market. The English name of this Chinese SUV is Venice V-Online.

Venucia V-Online gives the impression of youth and technological advancements in its name. Even the design of this model is quite youthful and applies the new generation V-Galaxy language of the Venucia brand.

At the front of the car, the Venucia V-Online is equipped with a large front grille, with a “V” logo on the top. The logo is rather reminiscent of VinFast’s. It is connected with 2 chrome splints extending to the end of the headlights. Meanwhile, on the hood, there is a star-shaped logo of the Venucia brand.

Connected to the grille are the Matrix LED headlights with a long and narrow design, swiping upwards. Next, the LED daytime running lights extend downwards, embracing the sides of the grille. This design makes the front of the Venucia V-Online appear wider and more noticeable.

On the side, this Chinese SUV has a fairly simple design with 2 ribs extending from front to back. In addition, there is a chrome splint that hugs the roof, connected to the splint located on both sides of the rear glass in the D column, and a set of black multi-spoke rims.

Behind the Venucia V-Online appears a slender LED taillight cluster and crosses the rear of the car. According to Venucia, the rear lights of the car have a total length of 1.6 m, bringing a strong and impressive look.

It is known that the Venucia V-Online has dimensions of 4,562 x 1,917 x 1,625 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Said numbers put the model in C-segment SUVs, competing with Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson. In addition, this model also has a coefficient of air resistance of 0.3 Cd.

The aformentioned wheelbase gives a quite spacious interior for the new model. The 5-seater interior of this model employs a completely new design language and has notable equipment such as a large digital dashboard located in the same block with a touchscreen infotainment screen, reminiscent of luxury cars Mercedes-Benz. Additionally, there is a new 3-spoke steering wheel, minimalist center console, and “V”-shaped engine start button.

Underneath the hood of Venucia V-Online is a 4-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine block with a maximum capacity of 195 horsepower. The engine is combined with a DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and consume an average of only 6.6 liters/100 km of gasoline.

It is expected that the Venucia V-Online will be officially launched at the 2021 Chengdu Motor Show taking place in China later this month.
