Speculations suggest that RevZone Yamaha Motor will sell series of products like Yamaha R7, Tenere 700, Tracer 9, MT-10, MT-09, and more in Vietnam.

On January 7, 2022, Yamaha Motor Vietnam will officially launch a genuine large displacement motorcycle trading system in Vietnam called RevZone Yamaha Motor, along with an event to introduce a series of products.

Previously in 2018, Yamaha Motor Vietnam had already announced the genuine selling price for two models MT-09 and XSR900 in the Vietnamese market. These two models are still being sold in a few designated Yamaha Towns. So which Yamaha large displacement models are about to be sold in Vietnam?

According to some information, RevZone Yamaha Motor will be the place to sell multiple Yamaha large displacement motorcycle products ranging from Naked bike, Sportbike, Sport Touring to Adventure Rally. In the past 2 years, Yamaha Motor Vietnam has also repeatedly registered for protection of its vehicle product’s industrial design with the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, as well as measured fuel consumption for energy labeling with the Vietnam Registry Department. From which, it can be predicted that some new Yamaha motorcycle models are about to be sold in Vietnam.

Yamaha MT-10

Yamaha MT-10 is the most powerful naked hyper model of the Japanese automaker’s MT-Series. This model appears in the poster introducing the new RevZone Yamaha Motor system, so it is certain that the Yamaha MT-10 will be one of Yamaha’s large displacement motorcycle models coming to customers.

In addition to the MT-10, it is possible that RevZone Yamaha Motor will sell an SP version equipped with a more advanced suspension system for Vietnamese customers. In addition to the difference in suspension, both MT-10 versions have the same CP4 engine with a 4-cylinder setup, 998cc capacity, producing 160 horsepower and maximum torque of 111 Nm.

At the end of 2021, Yamaha launched a 2022 upgrade in appearance and power for the MT-10, but it seems that the MT-10 that is about to be sold in Vietnam is still the 2021 version with the old design.

Yamaha MT-09

Unlike the MT-10, the MT-09 naked bike coming to our country will be the latest version, upgraded in appearance and equipment by the end of 2020. The bike will also be sold in Vietnam market with 2 versions are Standard and SP. In which, the SP version will be equipped with a more advanced Ohlins suspension system.

Powering the bike is the 3-cylinder 889cc CP3 engine, liquid-cooled, producing 119 horsepower and maximum torque of 93 Nm.

Yamaha Tracer 9

As expected, Yamaha Motor Vietnam not only sells Naked bike or Sportbike models, but also brings back the Sport Touring Tracer 9 model developed from the MT-09. More specifically, the Yamaha Tracer 9 will carry the Sport Touring style with the power of the MT-09, but with additional equipment to bring comfort to the driver when making long trips.

In the past year 2021, Yamaha has completely improved the Tracer 9 model in terms of design and equipment. It will have a series of Touring equipment such as a high windshield, a wide rear handlebar, a hand guard, and a storage box. New equipment include an improved frame and fork, a new electronic system, and a more modern TFT dashboard. It is expected that the Yamaha Tracer 9 will be sold in Vietnam under two versions: Standard, and GT versions equipped with storage containers.

Yamaha R7

At the end of 2021, the Dept of Registry announced the fuel consumption of a series of new motorcycles. Most notably is the appearance of the Yamaha R7, leading many people to believe that this Sportbike is coming soon in Vietnam. Until now, when RevZone Yamaha Motor is about to go into operation, this rumor may become correct.

Yamaha R7 owns a 2-cylinder Crossplane engine block, similar to the Yamaha MT-07. This has a capacity of 689 cc, giving 73.4 horsepower and maximum torque of 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Included with this engine is a clutch that supports Slipper Clutch, making the use of the smoother.

Yamaha Tenere 700

Finally, it is possible that RevZone Yamaha Motor will bring users the Tenere 700, Yamaha’s Adventure Rally model that is loved by customers around the world thanks to its excellent off-road capability.

Unlike other Adventure models in the same line as well as in other segments, Yamaha Tenere 700 is not aimed at beautiful looks but at practicality: the required off-road ability of an Adventure Rally. That’s why Tenere 700 looks like a professional Rally racer, square, neat and has all the necessary equipment to serve the driver on bad roads.

Specifically, the model owns a long-travel suspension, 21-inch/18-inch spokes, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires with large ground clearance, engine protection shield, windshield and large fuel tank. It shares the same engine with the MT-07, identical parameters.

Other models

In addition to mid-size and high-end motorcycle products, some information shows that Yamaha will bring to Vietnam some other models such as XMAX 300, R3, and MT-03.

In particular, the Yamaha XMAX 300 is a maxi-scooter scooter with a massive design, competing with Forza 350, SH 350i, and BMW C400GT. Information on fuel consumption of the Yamaha XMAX 300 was announced by the Registry in October 2021.

On the other hand, the duo of Yamaha R3 and MT-03 will be the latest upgraded version in terms of appearance, equipment as well as vehicle stamps.
