SUZUKI RELEASES GSX-R1000R 100TH-YEAR EDITION: RARE AND EXPENSIVE

The commemorative edition is loaded with a roster of modern technologies and a hefty price tag.

Recently, Suzuki has launched the all-new GSX-R1000R, celebrating its 100th anniversary. Suzuki GSX-R1000R 100th Anniversary Edition 2020 has a special color scheme using completely new blue and silver tones.

Regarding the power, the commemorative GSX-R1000R uses a 4-stroke liquid-cooled engine with a cylinder capacity of up to 999cc. The bike is also equipped with a variable valve (SR-VVT) that enhances the power for each cycle. In addition, Suzuki also brought in the Ignition-assist system, low RPM assist and the emission management system SET-A used on the GSX-RR model of Ecstar Suzuki racing team at MotoGP show.

In addition, this model also provides a range of advanced features such as the Showa BFF’s upside-down suspension, while the rear shock absorber is Showa BFRC. Safety is reinforced by dual 320mm disc brakes with 4 pistons at the front and a single 220mm single-piston disc brake for the rear wheel. It is also equipped with 6-axis IMU rotary angle sensor system, ABS, traction control and many different modes to meet the needs of users.

The price of GSX-R1000R special version is 16,999 pounds – equivalent to 505 million VND – in Europe. However, there will only be 100 units sold worldwide.
