On the November 2 afternoon, Yamaha introduced a completely new version of the NVX 155 VVA series in the Vietnamese market. The motorcycle has 1 version, priced at 53 million VND with 6 color options. The expected time to reach consumers is about 15-20 November. In the market, Yamaha NVX is considered as a direct competitor of Honda Air Blade.

This is the first upgrade of this model since its launch in 2016. Compared to the old model, the Yamaha NVX 2021 has a large and sharp headlight. The navigation lights and headlights is applied LED technology. The body of the motorcycle impresses with an X-shape.

The two sides are redesigned to optimize the driving experience, bring comfort to the drivers and rear passengers. The foot rest floor expands and slopes slightly backwards making the driver’s posture more stable. The Yamaha NVX 2021 has an overall size of 1,980 x 700 x 1,150 mm in length x width x height, wheelbase of 1,350 mm, ground clearance of 145 mm and seat height of 790 mm.

In addition, the scooter model from Japan also has the function of connecting the phone via the Y-Riders application. The screen can display message, call, and email notifications, meanwhile, users can easily look up the vehicle’s status by phone.

Beside the above-mentioned upgrades, some other outstanding equipment can include anti-lock braking system (ABS) in the front wheel, LCD instrument cluster, temporary engine stop system, smart key, phone charger port 14-inch copper wheels.

The motorcycle still uses a single-cylinder Blue Core engine, with a capacity of 155.1cc, SOHC; increase the diameter of the intake valve to 20.5mm; and most notably the stepless Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces power of 15.4 PS at 8,000 rpm and torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

In this upgrade, Yamaha confirmed the exclusion of NVX 125cc version because Vietnamese customers tend to pay less favor in this one.
