Honda City promotions are still available at dealers including direct discounts and accessory gifts.

Walking through the Vietnamese automobile market, although it has entered the seventh lunar month – the low month of the year since users are not buying big assets, the race between car manufacturers and authorized agencies is still open. However, there are still some models that go against the current, choosing a promotional route to attract customers, including Honda City.

Specifically, this class-B sedan is currently offered by a genuine dealer in Hanoi with a promotion of up to 70 million VND, applicable to both versions G and L, with an additional discount of 50 million along with a gift of accessories worth 20 million. Thus, after reducing, the actual selling price of Honda City at this dealer starts from 509 million and the highest is only 549 million VND. The price after this promotion is currently cheaper than the rival Toyota Vios, which is not being promoted by the dealer. In addition, because it is locally assembled, Honda City is also benefiting from 50% reduction in registration fee according to Decree 70/2020 / ND-CP.

In fact, this agency had applied this promotion of 70 million VND since last month but still did not attract as much attention from customers as expected, so the promotion was extended. Contrary to the past 2 months, in June 2020, Honda City, although only received a discount of 40 million VND by agencies, the sales of this B-class sedan suddenly rocketed, reaching 2,183 units. This result helps Honda City not only get rid of the pressure from Kia Soluto as they had suffered in previous months, but also surpass Toyota Vios for the first time, topping the entire Vietnamese auto market in terms of sales.

However, after a moment of sublimation, Honda City once again went downhill with sales no longer in the top 3 best-selling cars of its segment. As of the end of July, only 567 Honda City units were delivered.
