Mazda3 2022 is about to launch in the Australian market a new version using a more fuel-efficient mild-hybrid engine.
As planned, in late November or early December this year, Mazda will launch the upgraded Mazda3 and CX-30 in the Australian market. However, beforehand, the first information of these two models has been revealed.
The highlight of the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 2022 in the Australian market is the new engine. Accordingly, these two models will be added a new mild-hybrid version called G20e Evolve M Hybrid.
G20e Evolve M Hybrid version uses a 2.0L, naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine, supported by a 24V mild hybrid system. This engine system produces a maximum capacity of 155 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 200 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
The new mild-hybrid engine system of Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 2022 will accompany the front-wheel-drive system as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the car also has an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), allowing automatic start/stop of the engine early and even a temporary increase in power when needed. Add to that the support of the regenerative braking system.
The above combination helps Mazda CX-30 2022 G20e Evolve M Hybrid version consume only 6.4 liters per 100 km on average. The energy consumption of the new Mazda3 2022 G20e Evolve M Hybrid version, however, is unknown.
Furthermore, Mazda also launched the G25 Evolve SP version with the sporty design of the two aforementioned models. Used to replace the old G25 Evolved version, the new G25 Evolve SP version uses a 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated, 2.5L petrol engine block, producing a maximum capacity of 190 horsepower and torque. 252 Nm max.
In addition, the Mazda3 2022 in the Australian market also has some changes in equipment. For example, the G20 Pure version adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever. Meanwhile, the G20e Evolve M Hybrid version has a Vision Technology Package, keyless entry/start, anti-glare rearview mirror, smart mirror to automatically adjust when reversing as well as an electric driver’s seat.
Then comes the new G25 Evolve SP version with many black exterior details such as 18-inch alloy wheels, exterior mirror caps and grille. Inside the G25 Evolve SP version is a black felt interior with red accents. Finally, there is the X20 Astina version of the Mazda3 2022, which adds the e-Skyactiv logo on the rear, the SkyActiv-X logo on the front fenders, and upgraded engine sounds.
In particular, from the G20e Evolve M Hybrid and above, the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 2022 will have Level 2 semi-auto driving. This is possible thanks to the i-Activsense safety technology package, which includes Cruising and Traffic Support (CTS) semi-autonomous driving assistance, “overturning” vehicle warning, driver distraction warning, and a 360-degree camera. However, this means that the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 2022 in the Australian market will have its manual transmission removed.
Currently, the prices of Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 2022 in the Australian market has not been announced. Mazda has started accepting deposits from customers who want to buy these two models.
