After releasing the Geometry EX3 2021 in the domestic market, Geely hopes to be able to export its low-cost electric SUV to foreign markets.

Geely is a large automobile corporation in the Chinese market with many sub-brands, one of which is the newly established Geometry in 2019. Recently, Geometry has introduced a brand new electric vehicle called EX3. This is a compact SUV with a pre-sale price that starts at just 59,700 yuan (approximately VND 210 million), making it one of the cheapest 5-seater electric cars in the local market.

The Geometry EX3 has a popular SUV design, featuring Peugeot 308-like headlights, large fenders, and a two-tone body with green accents for the decorative details. As a small SUV, the EX3 measurements are 4,005 x 1,760 x 1,575 mm, and has a wheelbase of 2,480 mm.

Despite its compact body, the practicality of the EX3 does not seem to be affected. Geometry claims its low-cost electric SUV has a spacious cabin that has enough room for five passengers, and a total of 26 storage compartments. Its cargo space has a capacity of 500 liters and can be increased to 1,050 liters when the rear seats are folded.

Despite its low price, the dashboard of the EX3 looks quite modern with a 10.25-inch digital dashboard cluster, and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. Geely’s G-Link infotainment system includes QQ music, Autonavi, Ximalaya radio, voice control, Wi-Fi, and other applications. Meanwhile, the seats are in black and blue, combined with faux leather materials and fluorescent accents.

In terms of performance, the Geometry EX3 2021 is equipped with an electric motor that produces 95 hp and 180 Nm of maximum torque. Although specifications are far from impressive, the manufacturer claims the new car “has performance on par with traditional petrol cars”. The 37.23 kWh liquid-cooled battery pack provides a range of 320 km accordingly to NEDC cycle. When using the high-speed DC charger, the battery pack can charge from 0-80% in less than 30 minutes, enough to cover 250 km.

As for safety, this electric SUV is only equipped with some basic features including dual airbags, camera and reverse sensor, tire pressure monitoring, ABS, and EBD. In addition, Geometry also mentions high-tensile steel front and rear anti-collision bars.
