Suzuki Celerio 2022 will be equipped with a 3-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine, consuming only an average of 3.8 liters/100 km.
Recently, information and images of the second generation Suzuki Celerio small-sized urban car has been continuously leaked.
According to some sources, Celerio 2022 will be equipped with a gasoline engine codenamed K10C. This is a naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine that has been used in many Suzuki models in markets outside of India, such as the older generation of Celerio.
On the new model, its engine will come with DualJet technology with 2 fuel injectors per cylinder. The specific operating parameters of this engine block are unknown. Regardless, the model is expected to be the most fuel-efficient model in the A-class car segment in the Indian market.
Specifically, the described engine of the model has an efficiency of 26 km/liter of gasoline, equivalent to 3.8 liters / 100 km. If so, the new it will surpass Tata Tiago AMT with its average efficiency of 23.84 km/liter (4.19 liters / 100 km). The engine is expected to come with a 5-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission.
Not only saving more fuel, but the new generation Suzuki Celerio also changed significantly in the exterior design. Through the images taken on the streets of India, it can be seen that this A-class car has a more rounded appearance than before.
The front end of the new generation Suzuki Celerio is designed to be more vertical and comes with a rather small oval grille. In addition, this grille is also divided by horizontal chrome splints, extending from the Suzuki logo to the headlights.
Meanwhile, the car’s headlights have a triangular design, embracing the two front corners of the car. Next is a new front bumper with a rectangular central air cavity and 2 circular front fog lights.
Similar to the front, the sides of the new Suzuki Celerio is also designed in a more rounded style. In particular, this A-class urban car will use a traditional door handle, instead of the rear door handle located on the C column as before. In addition, there are wider windows, rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals, and new alloy wheels.
From the rear, the car looks wider and comes with a new taillight cluster, embracing the two rear corners of the car. Meanwhile, the rear bumper is designed quite simply and integrates two horizontal reflectors.
There are currently no pictures of the interior of the Suzuki Celerio 2022. However, it would not be surprising if the car is equipped with a redesigned dashboard, new interior upholstery materials, an improved center console, and much more comfortable equipment. It is expected that the Suzuki Celerio 2022 will have a steering wheel integrated with function keys, a multi-information display in the dashboard, and a keyless door opening feature.
As planned, Suzuki Celerio 2022 will be officially launched in the Indian market on November 10 as a rival of Hyundai Grand i10.
