Hundreds of leading international newspapers and news sites in the world have simultaneously reported that VinFast will launch two electric car models at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021.

The return of VinFast in the international market

Reuters news agency recently published an exclusive article directly interviewing Mr. Michael Lohscheller – General Director of VinFast Global about the company’s plan to enter the U.S market.

“It is too early to set business goals, but VinFast will introduce VF e35 and VF e36 models in November 2021 at LAAS 2021, marking the official launch of the U.S market” – General Director of VinFast shared with Reuters.

As planned, VinFast will start accepting pre-orders for the VF e35 and VF e36 electric SUVs in the first half of 2022 and is expected to start delivering cars to customers by the end of 2022.

Reuters recognizes that VinFast has great ambitions in its business strategy in the U.S and Europe. The Vietnamese car company is ready to compete against Tesla and other automakers.

Reuters also said that “VinFast is Vietnam’s answer to Tesla”. The brand aims to compete directly in vehicle size and price. In the Vietnamese market, the company’s first electric car model – VF e34 impresses with its innovative and unique battery rental strategy.

In addition to Reuters, a news site with nearly 90 years of operation in the U.S, Newsweek, quoted that the Vietnamese car company launched two electric car models VF e35 and VF e36 that will “mark an important milestone in VinFast’s global expansion strategy.”

Local news site Los Angeles Daily News added: “The 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS 2021) marks the return of VinFast in the international market after the 2018 Paris Motor Show. This time, VinFast will officially join the global electric vehicle revolution, competing with rivals in the North American and European markets.”

With impressive plans and milestones, journalist and auto expert Luc Gagne wrote an editorial published on Canada’s Annuel Auto website with the comment: “VinFast is the dragon of Vietnam, and the ambitions and potentials of this brand seems to be endless.”

Ready to explode in the US

Recognizing VinFast’s new advancements, the American auto website – CarBuzz snatched the title: “VinFast is ready for a boom in the US market” and looks forward to the appearance of the only representative from Vietnam at LAAS 2021.

CarBuzz also talks more about the VF e35 and VF e35 with a comment that these two models in the D and E segments are expected to be equipped with many safe auto-driving features. Along with the fact that the Vietnamese brand has set up an office in California, this website emphasizes: “We will not have to wait much longer”.

On the US page of The Detroit Bureau, Editor-in-Chief – journalist Paul Eisenstein also posted a commentary on VinFast: “VinFast may have a short history, but the ambition is great.”

Mr. Eisenstein emphasized that he had visited the VinFast factory and talked with senior leaders of the Vietnamese car company. According to him, VinFast’s plan to enter the US market has become increasingly clear. Along with that, VinFast has also considered other strategies such as self-manufacturing in the U.S. This strategy could be crucial to competing in America, said the editor-in-chief of The Detroit Bureau. Currently, the National Assembly is studying a plan to extend and expand the incentive program for electric vehicle brands. In the future, incentives could add an element of American-made vehicles and create jobs for Americans themselves.”

At the end of the article, Mr. Eisenstein also emphasized that he is waiting for the official unveiling of two new VinFast electric models at LAAS 2021, starting on November 17-18, 2021.
