The first 100 VF 8 units were delivered to customers at the brand’s factory in Hai Phong, on the morning of September 10.

After nearly 10 months of handing over the first VF e34 units to Vietnamese customers, VinFast also welcomes the first VF8 owners by organizing a collective car delivery event at the factory. This is VinFast’s second electric car model, but its first global one. VF e34 is only for the Vietnamese market.

After the initial 100 customers receiving the car, the company will export the first batch of VF 8 with a quantity of about 5,000 units to the US, Canada, and Europe in early November. It is expected that customers in these markets will receive the car from December.

VinFast is still announcing that the number of customers who have ordered two models VF 8 and VF 9 globally is 65,000. In which, in Vietnam, about 10,000 customers, who had paid an additional 40 million VND (in addition to the initial 10 million deposit) to confirm the purchase.

The large number of orders will be a challenge for the Vietnamese automaker in terms of supply, because currently VinFast is facing a common difficulty of the whole industry, which is a shortage of components. After 7 months of this year, the company handed over 2,203 VF e34 cars to customers, or about 315 cars per month, while the initial deposit was 25,000. The simultaneous operation of the line for all three products, the upcoming VF e34, VF 8, and VF 9 will increase the pressure on the supply of components.

VF 8 is positioned by the company in the high-rise segment of D-size cars, with a 5-seat configuration. The vehicle is equipped with many comfort and safety technologies, notably advanced driver assistance system such as highway driving assistance, automatic lane change, smart parking assist, smart car training, remote parking support…

The car has two versions of Eco and Plus, in which the VF 8 Eco version has lower power and torque, but the working distance announced by the company is higher (420 and 400 km).

Recently, the company launched a new battery rental policy from the beginning of September, car buyers will bear the battery rental fee increased by double compared to before. At the same time, customers may opt to buy the battery outright, with a specific price:
