Yamaha MT-10 2022 – new generation nakedbike priced at VND 499 million

Yamaha has just added the latest version of the nakedbike line in the 1,000cc segment, MT-10 2022 in Vietnam. The motocycle is imported from Japan, competing with rivals such as Honda CB1000R, Kawasaki Z1000…

The new generation MT-10 retains its aggressive and muscular design DNA. The seat height has been increased by 5 mm, to 835 mm. Wet weight of the motorcycle is at 212 kg.

The design of the front is the most noticeable change compared to the old model. Yamaha pursues an aggressive design style, like the robot characters in the Transformers movie series. The LED headlight with this position board is V-shaped.

The front- reverse fork of the motorcycle with many different modes of compression and feedback. KYB front fork on the standard version, while the more advanced version, SP uses Ohlins fork.

The front wheel uses tire size 120/70-17, dual disc brakes with Brembo brake calipers.

The new MT-10 version is equipped with an audio amplifier on the fuel tank (17 liters), which transmits the sounds from the engine directly to the driver.

The speedometer on the MT-10 2022 is designed with a new interface, 4.2-inch TFT type.

The LED taillights are designed with the letter MT, corresponding to the name of this motorcycle. The exhaust pipe of the Yamaha MT-10 is all titanium. Rear tire size 190/55-17.

On the new generation MT-10, Yamaha equips the model with two technologies that were previously only available on the R1 superbike, an electronic throttle, and a 6-axis IMU sensor. Besides, there are familiar features for Yamaha’s most advanced nakedbike line: 2-way fast gearshift, cruise control, speed limiter, traction control, rear wheel slip control, and ABS.

The 998-cc engine block on the Yamaha MT-10 inherits from R1, but the power is fine-tuned, at 166 hp (6 hp higher than the old version) at 11500 rpm, maximum torque of 112 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The engine operates with a non-slip clutch, meeting Euro 5 emission standards and improving the vehicle’s fuel consumption by about 19% compared to its predecessor.

Compared to the old MT-10, the price of the new version increased by 30 million, to 499 million. This price is “softer” than the Honda CB1000R (from VND 510 million), slightly better than the Kawasaki Z1000 (VND 435.5 million).
