The B-size SUV has its interior space with major differences from other company’s products, equipped with advanced safety systems.
The commercial XFC concept is officially named Xforce. Basically, the commercial design retains the new, healthy features of the concept, while adjusting the design of fog lights and mirrors to suit the practical use of the car.
In terms of interior design, the vehicle has a 12.3-inch digital display accompanied by an 8-inch digital clock. The main screen is divided into 3 areas, while the cluster of 3 gauges displays coordinate information and oscillating directions, which reproduces the image on the famous Pajero model. The system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and supports WebLink feature that allows to control and share the display from the phone screen to the vehicle’s entertainment one.
The Yamaha Premium Dynamic Sound System is also the first time Mitsubishi has co-operated with the Japanese audio brand in integrated car product. The rear seats on the Xforce are focused on segment-leading ample legroom. The seat back can recline at 8 levels to support choosing the most comfortable seating positions as well as optimize the luggage space behind. The rear seats can be partially 40/20/40 folded.
The car is 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,660 mm high. Its Wheelbase is 2,650 mm long. The vehicle’s weight is 1,245 kg.
The Xforce uses a 1.5 MIVEC, 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine that provides 105 hp and 141 Nm of torque, a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive. Four driving modes include normal, gravel, mud and for the first time – slippery road. This model has MacPherson front suspension and torsion beam rear one (dependent).
The new SUV possesses the segment-leading high ground clearance at 222 mm and 18-inch tires. The Xforce has a 21-degree appoarch angle, a 30.5-degree departure angle, and a 20.5 -degree breakover angle. The vehicle has a turning radius of 5.2 m.
Xforce’s expected equipment include advanced safety systems with features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, automatic headlights, font proximity warning, blind spot warning, lane change assist and rear cross-traffic collision warning. Disc brakes both front and rear.
The vehicle is expected to be manufacture at the Mitsubishi plant in Bekasi, West Java state, Indonesia. Also in this country, Xforce’s expected delivery to customers is in November.
