4th generation MPV model fitted with a hybrid engine, 4-wheel drive, added Toyota Sense safety package, sold in 3 versions priced from 116,800 USD.
On August 16th, Toyota introduced the latest iterations of the Alphard and Vellfire models in Thailand. This fourth generation of high-end MPVs has been developed using the GA-K version of the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, originally designed for cars in the D/E segment. The suspension system has been refined, with adjustments made to the MacPherson strut front and double wishbone rear suspension.
The new generation of these high-end MPV models is available in three versions: the Alphard 2.5 HEV priced at $116,000, the Vellfire 2.5 HEV priced at $120,000, and the Alphard 2.5 HEV Luxury priced at $126,500. Both the Alphard and Vellfire come with three exterior color options.
In the Vietnamese market, the Toyota Alphard is imported from Japan and is sold in a Luxury version priced at VND 4.37 billion. In the domestic Japanese market, the new generation Alphard is priced between $38,100 and $61,500.
Compared to the previous generation, the new Alphard has been slightly adjusted in size, with a 50 mm increase in length to reach 4,995 mm, while the width and height have been reduced by 5 mm to 1,850 mm and 1,945 mm respectively. The wheelbase remains at 3,000 mm. The suspension system has been fine-tuned to increase stiffness by 50% and reduce vibrations by 30%, resulting in improved sound insulation. The Vellfire, on the other hand, has been redesigned to have a sportier suspension.
The standard Alphard 2.5 HEV version comes equipped with LED headlights, sequential turn signals, LED taillights, a dual sunroof, power tailgate, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the 7-seat configuration features 10-way adjustable independent second-row seats with electrically adjustable footrests, integrated massage, and ventilation.
Standard features include a color head-up display (HUD) on the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation linked to T-Connect, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, 4-zone automatic air conditioning, JBL speakers, and a choice of beige or black interior. The Toyota Safety Sense safety system and six SRS airbags are also included.
The Alphard 2.5 HEV Luxury, the most advanced version, comes with the same standard features, distinguished by the Executive Lounge badge and 19-inch wheels. Notably, the interior becomes even more luxurious, featuring Uzuramoku wood grain accents, independent business class second-row seats with integrated massage and ventilation, control via a detachable tablet, and a foldable personal multi-function table. Additionally, this version is equipped with a nanoe-X air filtration system and a 14-inch entertainment screen for the rear seats.
