CATL and VinFast have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding on global strategic cooperation to promote cooperation in the field of electric vehicle development.

On October 30, under the direct observation of Mr. Robin Zeng, Chairman of CATL, and Mr. Vuong Pham, Chairman of Vingroup and Chairman of VinFast, CATL Technology Co., Ltd and Vinfast Production and Trading Joint Stock Company has signed a Memorandum on Global Strategic Cooperation to promote cooperation in the field of electric vehicle development, including battery-integrated smart chassis technology CTC (Cell to Chassis).

Under this agreement, CATL and VinFast will cooperate to jointly develop new technology. In which, the battery and many important components are integrated into the vehicle chassis. This helps to reduce weight, increase vehicle travel distance, and reduce cost. It is expected that VinFast will be the pioneer car manufacturer to bring this new technology to the global market with a strategic cooperation with CATL.
