The latest edition of Toyota Corolla Altis will be sold in Vietnam under 3 versions, including Hybrid.

Recently, the fanpage of Toyota Vietnam has confirmed the official launch date of Toyota Corolla Altis 2022. Accordingly, the new generation of this C-class sedan will be launched to Vietnamese users in the form of an online event on March 9, 2022.

In the upgrade to the new generation, the C-class sedan will have 3 versions, including a Hybrid version. The naming of the versions is similar to Toyota Corolla Cross, namely 1.8G, 1.8V, and 1.8HV (Hybrid). At the same time, expected selling prices of each version are 750 million, 800 million and 900 million VND, respectively.

Compared to the previous generation, the expected price of Toyota Corolla Altis 2022 increases by nearly 150 million VND due to the addition of a Hybrid version. For many consumers, this price increase is a rather high. However, customers can rest assured that is is well worth it as the new model only owns a new design, but also has more valuable technology.

In the new generation, Toyota Corolla Altis 2022 has a more youthful and modern exterior design, with multiple callbacks to the Camry because this model is also developed on the TNGA platform.

According to a sales consultant, all 3 versions of Toyota Corolla Altis 2022 are equipped with full LED lighting system. 16-inch alloy wheels is equipped on the standard 1.8G version, while the other two use 17-inch spoke wheels. Rearview mirror on 3 versions can be adjusted/folded, but 1.8HV version will have an automatic adjustment feature when reversing.

For the interior, all 3 versions of the car will be covered with leather and come with electric seats. The 1.8G version still uses the Optitron dashboard including an analog gauge with a 4.2-inch TFT screen, but the two higher versions will be equipped with a 7-inch digital screen. The center area has the appearance of a floating 8-inch touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay connection, 2-zone automatic air conditioning and electronic handbrake.

Underneath the hood of the 1.8G and 1.8V versions will be a 1.8L fuel engine block with a maximum capacity of 138 horsepower and maximum torque of 173 Nm. For the 1.8HV version, the car uses a Hybrid engine, including a 1.8L gasoline engine and an electric motor for a total capacity of 122 horsepower, accompanied by a fully-electric driving mode outputting 72 horsepower and 163 Nm. Gearboxes on all 3 versions are CVT.

In addition to the notable new additions, Toyota Corolla Altis 2022 in Vietnam will also have the Toyota Safety Sense technology package (on 1.8V and 1.8HV versions). This safety package is no longer unfamiliar to Vietnamese consumers, including many modern features such as lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, distance adaptive automatic throttle, and smart headlights. In addition, the 1.8HV version also provides a HUD display screen, blind spot warning, and tire pressure warning.
