The high-end BMW S1000R Naked bike has been officially sold in Vietnam with two versions, Race for VND 669 million and the more advanced M Package for VND 759 million.

Today, November 3, 2021, BMW Motorrad officially introduced the large displacement motorcycle model BMW S1000R, the naked bike version of the BMWS S1000RR superbike in the Vietnam market. Thus, nearly a year after its launch in the European market, the high-end naked bike model S1000RR has been officially distributed by BMW Motorrad Vietnam to domestic customers.

Accordingly, the all-new BMW S1000R is a product imported from Germany and sold in Vietnam with two versions, the Race version, and the M Package version. In particular, the price of the BMW S1000R Race is listed at VND 669 million, the more advanced S1000R M Package version is priced at VND 759 million.

The BMW S1000R has an angular, sporty, and dynamic design. The bike inherits the frame, suspension, and engine from the powerful S1000RR superbike with a low front end and high clawed tail to optimize aerodynamics.

The noticeable changes of the all-new BMW S1000R compared to the old version are that the headlights have removed the familiar asymmetrical design, and replaced by a compact, modern but still mechanical headlight face. The headlight includes bright headlights and DRLs that all apply LED technology, in which the headlights integrate a convenient cornering support feature.

Thanks to carrying the frame of the brother S1000RR, the naked bike model S1000R is also equipped with a lightweight Flex Frame, which reduces weight by 1.3 kg compared to the old version. In addition, many other upgrades also help to make the weight of the new BMW S1000R only 199 kg, 6.5 kg lighter than the old version. Particularly, the M Package version has a weight of 194 kg thanks to some carbon fiber details.

Other notable equipment on the BMW S1000R can include a 6.5-inch TFT color screen capable of connecting to smartphones via Bluetooth. In addition, the high-performance M Endurance chain is anti-stretch and does not require the use of a chain conditioner. On the M Package version, the bike will have a Core Screen screen showing the running time in the racetrack, Akrapovic exhaust, M aluminum wheels, M saddle, M ultralight battery, and Keyless Ride smart key.

The electronic support system on the bike includes electronic throttle with 3 running modes, DTC anti-skid system, Hill Start Control, an anti-lock braking system in corners ABS Pro, and 4 driving modes Rain, Road, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro are suitable for a wide range of road conditions. Besides, there are support features such as Engine Brake (Engine Brake), front-wheel stall control (Power Wheelie), and DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) emergency brake support. Notably, the new S1000R is also equipped with an engine brake control system (MSR) that helps control the engine braking force to the rear wheel, minimizing wheel lock when accelerating.
