In September 2021, Triumph unexpectedly launched the Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR model, which was developed on the basis of the British automaker’s most powerful naked bike model, but added an electronic suspension system and a special outfit. Now, Triumph Vietnam has brought this model to domestic distribution with the listed price of 659.9 million VND.

The Triumph Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR was developed from the Speed ​​Triple 1200RS with the same engine. This means that the bike is equipped with a 3-cylinder 1160cc engine, liquid-cooled, producing 176 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and maximum torque of 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. In addition to using the same engine, the Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR also inherits the frame and fuel tank of the RS version.

The most notable and valuable difference of the Triumph Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR from the RS version begins with the cutting-edge Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension system. This is the suspension system being used on many top sport bike models, but re-calibrated, offering high customization to suit a model with a unique driving posture.

The next special equipment on the Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR is a TFT color dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity, which displays a wide range of operating information such as driving modes, electronic assistance systems and other parameters. Prominent on the front is a round headlight with an exclusively designed LED positioning light strip, surrounded by a beautiful strapless Cafe Racer style, giving the model an unmistakable appearance. In addition, some of the body panels and fenders made of carbon fiber also create high-class accents for the whole car.

With this style, it is obvious that the Triumh Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR will also have its own driving posture with the clip-on handlebars positioned 135mm lower and 50mm more forward than that of Speed ​​Triple 1200 RS. To complete the signature squatting posture, Triumph also rearranged the footrest by raising and moving it backwards on the frame. In Vietnam, Triumph Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR is being sold with two color options including Gray Red and Gray White. In terms of price range, Triumph Speed ​​Triple 1200 RR will compete with BMW S1000 R and Aprilia Tuono V4, priced at VND 669 and 680 million, respectively.
