The new motorcycle Harley-Davidson X440 has just been officially launched in the South Asian market with an extremely attractive price for two-wheelers.

Hero MotoCorp has finally officially launched the long-awaited Harley-Davidson X440 joint venture motorcycle to the Indian market. This model has a listed price of only RS 2.29 lakhs (about 66.2 million VND) with the base version, an unprecedented price with Harley-Davidson models ever. With such a soft price, the X440 immediately became a formidable competitor to a series of other motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Benelli Imperiale 400, Bajaj Dominar 400, Triumph Speed 400 and Honda CB350 Highness.

For the high-end version, Harley-Davidson X440 also only has a proposed selling price of RS 2.69 lakhs (about 77.8 million VND). The high-end version has a range of attractive equipment from spoked wheel rims with diamond-shaped cuts, to Bluetooth connectivity and 3D logo. The high-end X440 is also equipped with navigation technology.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is low-priced thanks to being strongly localized by India’s Hero MotoCorp. That makes the X440 competitive with mid-range motorcycles from manufacturers like Royal Enfield, Honda, Jawa, and Yezdi. The X440 even has the advantage of its powerful new 440cc single-cylinder engine and FI electronic fuel injection technology equipped.

In terms of exterior appearance, the Harley-Davidson X440 has a neoclassical style. The vehicle has a beautiful round headlight. In addtion, the circular single-control instrument system, flat steering wheel bar, side exhaust, spoked wheel rims and turn signals also have a classic style.

Going into more detail about the engine system, the X440 carries an air-and-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, which can reach a maximum output of 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Included with this engine block is a set of 6-speed transmission transmissions.

The suspension consists of a 43 mm USD reversing fork and double rear shock absorbers. The brakes are disc brakes on both wheels, along with dual-channel ABS as standard equipment. The rims are 18-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear, attached to MRF tires.
