Hundreds of million VND discounts for 4-wheeled products

29 Jul 2023

Imported or slow-selling models such as Honda CR-V, Nissan Kicks, Subaru Forester, Volkswagen Tiguan… are selling for more than 100 million VND.

In the Vietnamese market, certain imported or slow-selling car models are currently being sold with discounts of more than 100 million VND. The reasons behind these discounts vary, including clearing inventory, preparing for the launch of new models, or increasing competition with domestically assembled cars. Some of the models with significant discounts are:

Honda CR-V: Honda and its dealers are offering strong discounts on the current CR-V model to sell remaining inventory before the expected launch of the new generation in the last quarter of 2023. In addition to the 50% discount on the government’s registration fee, dealers are offering an additional incentive in cash equivalent to 100% of the registration fee. With these incentives, the price of the Honda CR-V is reduced by at least 99-113 million VND. Including the government’s incentives for assembled cars, the CR-V price is reduced by at least 148-170 million VND.

Nissan Kicks and Navara: All Nissan models are being offered with discounts in July, with Kicks and Navara having the most significant reductions, more than 100 million VND. The B-size CUV model, Kicks, which features the only hybrid engine in its segment, is reduced by 90 million VND. The Navara pickup line is reduced by 120 million VND.

Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero Sport: The Pajero Sport, a D-size SUV with a removable chassis, has a substantial reduction of 220 million VND, bringing the car’s price down to 910-1,145 million VND. The Mitsubishi Triton pickup model also has a sharp drop of 135 million VND.

Subaru Forester and Outback: The Forester is currently being offered with discounts of 170-200 million dong, while the Outback wagon line is heavily discounted, with reductions of up to 200 million dong for the 2022 production versions.

Volkswagen Tiguan, Teramont, Touareg: The Tiguan and Teramont SUV lines are supported by the distributor with 100% of the registration fee, resulting in price reductions of about 200-300 million VND. The Volkswagen Touareg, the most expensive German SUV model in Vietnam, is also being offered with significant discounts of 200-225 million VND at the dealer.
