Recently, Kawasaki has updated the KLX300, KLX300SM, and Ninja ZX-6R models for the US market. These versions are now officially on shelves. This round of update’s highlight is the KLX300SM.

The model is based on the foundation of the standard KLX300. Suffix “SM” stands for “SuperMoto” (SuperMoto race track). This version is an upgrade to 17-inch wheels, along with the diameter of the front and rear disc brakes being raised to 300mm and 240mm, respectively.

In terms of engine power, KLX300SM is still equipped with a 292cc single-cylinder engine block with EURO4 standard, which is also used on the Versys 300. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 33 horsepower and maximum torque of 28.3Nm. It is liquid-cooled, has electronic fuel injection, and equipped with an electric ignition.

KLX300SM 2023 comes with a perimeter frame with a single rear rack and uses box steel tubes to increase strength. The swingarm on the bike employs aluminum alloy and is painted black, making a difference from the gray color on the standard version. The bike is also equipped with a long-travel USD fork at the front.

The selling price of Kawasaki KLX300SM 2023 in the U.S is 6,299 USD – about 145 million VND.
