Recently, the Austrian motorcycle brand has just revealed the mid-size naked-bike model, the KTM 790 Duke 2023, with the design and features from the 1290 Super Duke senior model.
In the 2023 version, it can be seen that the KTM 790 Duke is different with orange and gray colors that make the overall model look sturdier.
790 Duke is KTM’s first model based on a 2-cylinder DOHC in-line engine, liquid-cooled, electronic fuel injection, 799cc capacity with code LC8c. This engine block has been slightly tweaked by KTM and produces a maximum capacity of 105 hp at 9,000 rpm and 88 Nm of torque from 8,000 rpm, transmitted through a 6-speed gearbox and has 5 driving modes: Sport, Street, Rain, Track, and Supermoto.
KTM 790 Duke 2023 has a series of electronic supports, including: Traction control system, two-way quick shifter, engine slip regulator, cornering ABS, and more.
In terms of design, the new KTM 790 Duke has a steel trellis frame and an aluminum subframe. This Roadster still employs minimalist designs. This motorcycle has KTM’s signature split LED headlights, a multi-color TFT screen with Bluetooth support and a high-mounted exhaust pipe close to the saddle.
It comes with a premium 43mm WP inverted fork at the front and a load-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by twin rotors at the front and a single propeller at the rear.
The design of the side panels of the fuel tank is inherited from the KTM 1290 Super Duke senior, but the new shape is different. KTM 790 Duke fuel tank has a capacity of 14 liters. Detail of the triangular radiator groove on both sides of the tail adds to the beauty and distinctive features of the 790 Duke.
In Vietnam, the current version of KTM 790 Duke is being genuine distributed for nearly 400 million VND. This motorcycle competes with competitors in the same segment such as Triumph Street Triple RS (435 million VND), Yamaha MT-09 (345 million VND), and Ducati Monster 821 (nearly 400 million VND).
