23 Jul 2021

There are only 100 KTM RC 8C 2021 racing motorcycles produced by the “German motorcycle wizard” Kramer, which is expected to open orders on July 22.

Although it will open orders on July 22 for 100 KTM RC 8C 2021 racing motorcycles, the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the price.

KTM RC 8C 2021 is equipped with KTM’s parallel 899cc LC8c engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder, producing 128 hp and 101 Nm of torque, lower than the previous version.

However, the RC 8C 2021 weighs only 140kg, giving a power-to-weight ratio close to 1:1 to help the car accelerate faster and more stable.

Made in a custom, hand-built 25CrMo4 steel tubular frame, the RC 8C as KTM puts it “is as close to a race bike as possible and without the downside of needing a professional racing team to maintain it”.

Based on KTM’s MotoGP experience with the KTM RC16, the RC 8C features a MotoGP-looking body made from Kevlar-reinforced GRP.

Premium WP suspension components are installed, the front end is supported by WP Apex Pro 7543 upside-down fork and the rear is supported by WP Apex Pro 7746 mono-shock, fully adjustable with settings compress and turn on high and low speed separately.

Complementing the track fit are a pair of lightweight Dymag wheels, fitted with Pirelli SC1 racing slides.

The main cylinder Brembo 19 RCS Corsa Corta of MotoGP origin controls the brakes on the front wheels, equipped with Brembo Stylema brake calipers.

Brake feel can be set to one of three modes: “Normal”, “Sport” and “Race” for the same level of brake response as MotoGP.

With an air intake specially developed for the RC 8C, the airbox has branched air intakes and double air filters, with air ram from the intake to the airbox located in the space where the fuel tank will be. in an ordinary motorcycle.

This means that a 16-liter fuel tank is now housed in the seat set, itself a self-supporting and supportive unit centered on the center of mass of the RC8.

Data is key in motor racing and the RC8 is equipped with a 5-inch TFT-LCD monitor AIM MXS 1.2 Race. Freely configurable, the AIM console is paired with the AIM RaceStudio software at no additional cost.

It allows the RC8 driver to record engine performance, ECU settings, and lap times directly, with data available for analysis including parameters such as speed, position on the track, lap times racing, and even throttle position,…

A wide range of adjustability is incorporated on the RC 8C, including an adjustable bar at the top, 2mm of fork offset, adjustable travel height, and a two-position seat height setting.

The footrest area is adjustable to a range of 66 mm in three positions, while the handlebars can be adjusted to 30 degrees of a sweep as well as 25 mm of height and 30 mm of width adjustment.

Of the 100 available RC 8Cs, 25 buyers can choose to participate in a special Red Bull KTM Factory Racing test team event where the RC 8C can appear alongside KTM MotoGP test riders Dani Pedrosa and Mill Kallio at the Jerez Racetrack in Spain.

This will come with the RC 8C racing package which includes an extra set of Dymag wheels, extra brake discs, front and rear storage racks.
