Recently, Moto Guzzi has officially launched a completely new model, the V100 Mandello at the EICMA 2021 exhibition. The model dons the look of a fully equipped Sport Touring and the most modern equipment to differentiate itself from other models of the Italian brand.

The most notable feature on the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is that the bike is considered the foundation of many other Moto Guzzi products in the future. The Italian brand stated that V100 Mandello is the first motorcycle model equipped with an adaptive aerodynamics system. These are the two grilles on either side of the fuel tank. Depending on the speed and operating mode, these two grilles will adjust the angle and height to limit the wind hitting the operator.

In terms of power, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello uses a horizontal V-Twin engine block, with a capacity of 1,042cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled. This produces 115 horsepower and a maximum torque of 105 Nm. In which, the bike can reach 90% of the torque right from the 3,500-rpm, with the engine limited to 9,500 rpm. As a result, the V100 Mandello has good traction and acceleration in mid-range RPMs. The bike does not use a disc sprocket transmission, but a crankshaft to transmit engine power to the rear wheel, accompanied by a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of electronic assistance, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is equipped with electronic throttle, 11MP Marelli ECU, 6-axis IMU sensor, corner ABS, and traction control system. This information will be displayed on the 5-inch TFT color screen in addition to other basic operating information. Of course, the TFT color screen will allow for smartphone connectivity to display navigation information and other basic functions.

The suspension system is also advanced with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electric fork, which provides real-time correction based on road conditions, driving habits, driver preferences, driver weight, etc.

With a Sport Touring design, Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello will have a comfortable driving position thanks to a completely different steering wheel, saddle and footrest layout from Sportbikes. The fairly wide saddle also provides comfort on long distances, in addition to the electric windscreen working in combo with the adaptive aerodynamics system, helping to minimize wind hitting the driver.
