Nearly 145,000 cars imported into Vietnam from the beginning of 2022

According to the General Department of Customs, from the beginning of the year to November 15, the whole country imported 144,726 CBU cars of all kinds, with a total turnover of 3.24 billion USD, up by 5.9% in volume and 6.4% in turnover rate compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by the General Department of Customs, in the first 15 days of November, the whole country imported 15,872 CBU cars of all kinds, with a total turnover of 305.29 million USD. Among which, most are cars with 9 seats or less with 14,482 cars, turnover of 266 million USD.

Notably, only in the first 15 days of the month, the total number of imported CBU cars was higher than that of October (14,313 vehicles) and is considered the period with the greatest number of CBU cars imported.

From the beginning of the year to November 15, the whole country imported 144,726 CBU cars of all kinds, with a total turnover of 3.24 billion USD, up 5.9% in volume and 6.4% in turnover over the same period last year.

Regarding the import market (updated by the General Department of Customs until the end of October), Indonesia continued to have the largest import volume in October and the first 10 months of the year. However, the largest turnover still belongs to Thailand. Specifically, Indonesia reached 54,356 vehicles and 792.6 million USD. Thailand ranked second with 50,331 vehicles and 993 million USD; China reached 15,744 vehicles, turnover of 649.8 million USD. With 120,431 vehicles, the three markets mentioned above accounted for 93.46% of the country’s total imported CBU during the same period.
