In early November, a number of car manufacturers and dealers launched attractive promotions and discounts for their models to stimulate year-end sales.

KIA car price reduced from 15-25 million VND

As noted by VietNamNet, the auto market witnessed the opening of price incentives in the first week with the KIA distributed by Truong Hai. Model K3, K5, Sorento, Sportage, and Carnival, have a reduced price of 15-25 million VND depending on version.

Having the smallest decrease at only 7 million VND, KIA Morning’s discount applies to both GT Line and X Line. After discounts, prices come up to only 499 million.

Next, the low-end models of K5 and Carnival 3.5G Signature 7 seaters are reduced by 10 million VND. The highest KIA K5 version is reduced by 25 million VND.

Sonet, Seltos, and Soluto are not discounted in November.

Explaining the reason for this price reduction, dealers said that the main purpose is to stimulate consumer demand at the end of the year after many price increases. At the end of September, models such as K3, K5, Carnival, Sorento, and Morning all increased by 10-40 million VND.

Currently, KIA is the 4^th best-selling sedan brand in Vietnam. By the end of September 2022, KIA achieved sales of 3,864 vehicles, an increase of nearly 77% over the same period last year (2,184 vehicles sold).

The price of Subaru cars is greatly reduced by 280 million VND

While KIA attracts attention when reducing the prices of many models at the same time, Subaru continues to attract customers by launching a special offer only in November for Forester with a discount of more than 280 million VND.

Specifically, the Subaru Forester 2.0i-L has a discount of VND 259 million in cash, plus a gift worth 25 million VND. Subaru Forester 2.0i-S EyeSight version reduces 184 million VND in cash and offers other valuable gifts.

Currently, Subaru Forester has a genuine list price for the 2.0i-L version of VND 1,128 billion and VND 1,288 billion for the 2.0i-S EyeSight version. After the offer, the price of Forester 2022 is reduced to VND 869 million for the 2.0i-L version, and the 2.0i-S EyeSight version is reduced to VND 1.104 billion.

Nissan wheel rolling price reduced by 56-69 million VND thanks to reduced registration fee

Nissan Vietnam also joined the race to reduce car prices in November with a 50% discount on registration fees for Navara and Almera models.

Thus, the Navara pickup model is listed at 945 million VND and 970 million VND for the high-end and PRO4X versions, respectively. Equally, the reduction according to the registration fee ranges from 56.7 to 69.8 million VND, depending on version and region.

Nissan Almera is now listed at 539 million and 595 million VND for CVT and CVT Premium versions. Thanks to the reduced registration fee, customers will benefit tens of millions of VND.

Honda with maximum discount of 175 million VND

Many Honda car models were also heavily discounted by dealers in early November. In which, Honda CR-V received the highest cash incentive of up to 160-175 million VND. Its listed price now ranges from 998 million VND to 1.118 billion VND.

The lower reduction belongs to Honda City, reduced by 55-60 million VND. City version E now costs 444 million VND; Honda city version G is listed at 529 million VND; L version is reduced by 60 million VND.

The year-end discounts and promotions may originate from banks tightening credit room and increasing loan interest rates. Meanwhile, the real estate and stock markets continue to be unstable, leading to a decrease in the financial resources for consumers, resulting in a sharp drop in the demand for car purchases. Therefore, from now until the Lunar New Year, the auto market is forecasted to have many unpredictable fluctuations.
