Most MPV models under 700 million VND in Vietnam are receiving incentive programs and discounts to stimulate sales.

In order to stimulate sales and increase competitiveness against competitors, small MPV models are simutaneously discounted by the automakers and dealers in multiple forms. In July, most multi-purpose vehicles of the segment have promotions.

In particular, Mitsubishi Xpander currently offers a 100% discount on registration fee, a reduction equivalent to 59.9 – 69.8 million VND, depending on the version and region. In addition, customers also receive many valuable gifts such as insulation film, 360-degree cameras … and preferential interest car loan support package.

Not to be outdone by Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota dealers are also putting effort in applying a discount policy for Toyota Veloz to help this model maintain its attractiveness. In which, VIN 2022 versions are reduced by 40-50 million VND, VIN 2023 versions have a lower reduction of about 20-25 million VND.

Meanwhile, Kia Carens is also applied a discounted price policy of up to 30-35 million VND by Truong Hai (THACO AUTO), helping the selling price of this model at dealers to only 554 million VND.

In addition, since being domestically assembled vehicles, Toyota Veloz Cross, Avanza Premio and Kia Carens are also receiving a 50% discount on registration fee from the Government, the highest reduction up to several tens of millions of VND.

Hyundai Stargazer is also being discounted by dealers from 70-95 million VND depending on the version. These are all 2022 VIN versions. Thus, this model was supported of increasing its attractiveness when having a breakthrough design, many feature equipment having quite competitive prices currently.

Meanwhile, the Honda BR-V model just launched 2 weeks ago is also discounted by dealers 20 million cash for all 3 versions. Similarly, two models Suzuki XL7 and Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid are also receiving incentives of up to 70 million VND for all versions.

The decline in purchasing power along with the preferential policy of 50% registration fee for assembled vehicles is also the reason why imported models such as Xpander, Stargazer, Ertiga, XL7 … are giving strong discounts for inventory discharge.

With a stylish, versatile design and being able to carry numerous people… a 7-seater MPV is becoming the prior choice of many groups of customers buying family cars and business services. This segment is forecast to continue to develop and grow sales from now to the end of 2023.
