Triumph unexpectedly revealed a video clip of a completely new model called Speed Triple 1200 RR with a beautiful retro Sportbike design.

Triumph Daytona is one of the great names in the world of Sportbikes. The brand had impressed the market in numerous occasions, despite its rarity. This is foreseeable as this sports motorcycle model from Triumph in modern times only appears on racetracks. Recently, the British manufacturer has surprised us when it released a video clip revealing a new generation of commercial Sportbike model about to be launched under the name Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR.

According to the shared video, the new model will inherit the special design of the Triumph Daytona. It can be seen that the Speed Triple RR will have a retro design similar to most of the brand’s products when it has a cafe racer body frame but is sharper and sportier. However, these images just represent the bike design, finished with raw materials.

These images may remind us of the Triumph Trident 660 – a mid-range Naked bike model launched in 2020. With the name Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR, the motorbike will certainly come with a 1,160cc 3-cylinder in-line engine block similar to the Speed Triple 1200 RS currently on the market.

According to specifications, the RS version with Triple 1200 engine block can produce up to 180 HP at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Of course, these numbers may change to match the Sportbike style.

As expected, Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR will be launched in late 2021.
