The beautiful cars at the Vietnam Motor Show 2022

Vietnam Motor Show 2022 started on October 26; 14 participating car manufacturers have had an impressive launch with many beautiful and shiny new models. Various electric and hybrid models were introduced for the first time.

On October 26, the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2022 officially took place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. This is the largest annual auto show in Vietnam, returning after 2 years of absence due to Covid.

The 14 automakers in turn performed car launches at lively and attractive booths, including: Audi, Brabus, Honda, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Morgan, MG, RAM, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo. A total of 120 models was on display. Among which, electric cars, hybrid cars and concept models are the highlight.

 

Subaru

Subaru brings a total of 6 models, most notably the facelifted Forester SUV with many new features in design, technology additions, and suspension tweaking. The model has 4 versions and 2 engine options. In addition, during the exhibition, Subaru continued to have a super performance by world record holder Russ Swift to serve the public 3 times/day.

 

Audi

VMS 2022] Audi e-tron SUV sold in Vietnam for 2.97 billion VND

Audi Vietnam’s booth featured the launch of the Audi e-tron SUV electric model. This model follows in the footsteps of the Audi e-tron GT launched in July. Electric vehicles are at the forefront of Audi’s strategy in the coming years. Between now and 2025, more than 20 electric vehicle models are planned to join the Audi lineup.

In addition, Audi also brought existing luxury car products, including the Audi A8L model, launched in July in Hanoi.

 

Jeep + RAM

The couple of American car brands attended VMS for the first time and immediately made an impression with American-style off-road vehicles. In this event, Jeep first launched the Grand Cherokee model with the first two imported versions, Limited and Summit.

 

Volkswagen

The German automaker’s booth has 5 vehicles on display, 4 of which were new models. All were sport utility vehicles (SUVs and crossovers), notably the Touareg model that will be on sale right after the exhibition.

 

MG

The booth of the British brand MG featured a pair of electric cars MG4 and MG Marvel R. In addition, models being distributed in Vietnam such as HS, ZS, or MG5 were also brought to the exhibition.

 

Volvo

Volvo offers 7 hybrid and mild hybrid models. The XC40 was the first model to be unveiled at the event, followed by the XC60, XC60 Recharge, V60 Cross Country, S90, XC90, and XC90 Recharge versions. On the pictured is model XC-90 Recharge, one of Volvo’s strategic SUV models.

 

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz’s booth has an area of ​​up to 1,000 m2. In particular, the German luxury brand introduced the most advanced EQS electric luxury sedan with a travel range of up to 770 km per charge.

 

Lexus

The Japanese luxury automaker brought to the exhibition 5 models, including LX 600, LM 350 4-seater, ES 300h, NX 350h, and especially the electric coupe-crossover LF-Z.

 

Toyota

Toyota brings to VMS 2022 its first global electric vehicle, bZ4X. In addition, Toyota launched the locally assembled Veloz Cross model.

 

Honda

The Japanese automaker brought VMS 2022 its 8 car and 11 motorbike models on display. In particular, the most notable is the sporty Civic Type R model that was brought to Vietnam for the first time.

 

Mitsubishi

Coming to VMS 2022, Mitsubishi Motor Vietnam brings all its existing product lines. In particular, the biggest highlight is the new XFC Concept model for the Southeast Asian market that was launched globally on October 19. In addition, the Japanese automaker also displayed the AKA Triton Race Car from the AKA Racing team. Mitsubishi is also the last car company to introduce its products in the morning of October 26.

 

Morgan + Brabus

Black Panther Automobile – the owner of Brabus (specializing in customizing cars from Germany) and British car company Morgan in Vietnam, for the first time brought to Vietnam 5 models including: Brabus G800, Brabus G400, Brabus B50, Morgan Plus Six, and Morgan Plus Four.

Vietnam Motor Show 2022 will take place until the end of October 30. Aside from the booths displaying vehicles and accessories, a seminar on diesel cars will also be the highlight of this year’s exhibition.
