29 Oct 2021

There will be a significant upgrade in the engine as well as the equipment on this new generation of naked-bike Yamaha.

Yamaha MT-10 is the “big brother” of the MT family. It is the strongest engine version and is currently sold in many markets such as the US, India, Australia…

Recent documents show that Yamaha is ready to launch the 2022 version of this super naked bike in November at the EICMA Exhibition. Accordingly, although the model retains the DNA of the current generation, it is slightly changed to meet the needs of users. Specifically, the MT-10 2022 will have a wheelbase of 1405mm instead of 1400mm like its predecessor. This will increase the overall length to 2100mm instead of 2095mm. The bike also keeps the 17-inch cast rims with 120/70-17 and 190/55-17 front and rear tires.

In addition, the headlight design may change with only 1 single bulb instead two. The bike’s strip of positioning lights, turn signals, and the rear lights all employ modern LED technology. It is expected that with these changes, the volume of the MT-10 2022 is 2kg heavier than its predecessor. Yamaha also upgraded the MT-10 2022 with Ohlins front suspension and high-end brakes from Brembo.

In terms of power, expectations are that the MT-10 2022 will have a 4-cylinder engine block with a completely new structure, helping to increase power to 163.6 horsepower at 11500 RPM and maximum torque of 112 Nm. MT-10 2022 may reach a maximum speed of up to 250km/h.

The price of the MT-10 2021 in the US is currently from 12,999 USD – equivalent to 296 million VND. So, expect that the price of the MT-10 2022 will be slightly higher.
