The 2023 version launched in the Thai market bears a slight change in the headlight system and offers additional color options.
Yamaha Thailand recently officially launched the 2023 version of the R15 sportbike model. The new version still has 2 options for users: R15 Connected 2023 and R15M ABS Connected 2023.
The biggest change on the 2023 R15 generation is the use of new Focus LED headlight technology, which the company says increases better lighting efficiency. Meanwhile, the other equipment remains unchanged. Of course, the user has a series of new color options.
In which, the Yamaha R15 Connected 2023 has 3 new color options including Aggressive Gray, Icon Blue, and Tech Black. As for the R15M 2023, there is only the Icon Performance white color option.
Yamaha still equips a reverse shock absorber system for the R15 and R15M 2023, while the rear is a multi-level adjustable single cylinder spring shock absorber system. The car also ensures safety with disc brakes for both front and rear wheels. Particularly, the R15M version will be equipped with an ABS as well as a TCS for comprehensive safe operation.
In terms of power, the engine of the 2023 R15 duo is still a 155cc single-cylinder engine block, SOHC type, liquid-cooled, and comes with a VVA. The model uses a 6-speed gearbox and has Assist & Slipper Clutch system support, especially the 2023 R15M version is equipped with Quick Shifter for a more complete riding experience.
The listed selling price of the Yamaha R15 2023 in Thailand is 118,000 baht – about 81.1 million VND. The R15M version is more expensive, at 138,000 baht – about 94.9 million VND.
